Meet Elizabeth Crowley, NECO’s New Director of Development & Alumni Relations

NECO is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Crowley as Director of Development and Alumni Relations. Elizabeth joins NECO at a defining moment in the College’s history as it moves boldly forward with its 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, The Future InSight. She arrives ready to help nurture community engagement and build the philanthropic foundation that will strengthen the College’s reputation, expand its impact, and bring NECO’s strategic vision to life.

“I am excited to join the NECO team and deeply grateful for the extraordinary opportunity to partner with President Purcell, the President’s Senior Leadership Team, the Board of Trustees, the Alumni Association Board, NECO’s faculty and staff, external partners, and alumni to help write this next chapter together,” Elizabeth said.

Focused on building a sustainable, deeply relational, and high-performing fundraising program, Elizabeth looks to inspire trust and confidence among the NECO community and secure essential resources for students, faculty, research, and innovative programs. “Philanthropy, at its best, is about trust,” Elizabeth noted. “It’s about building relationships where alumni, donors, and friends feel genuinely connected to the institution and confident that their philanthropic investment is making a real difference. That’s what I’m here to do.”

Elizabeth brings the expertise and energy to meet that challenge. With a career built across mission-driven educational institutions — including Northeastern University, Concord Academy, and Wellesley College — she has developed deep expertise in nurturing donor relationships, creating strategic collaborations, and crafting data-driven strategies. She holds a BA in history from the Catholic University of America.

A passionate advocate for the organizations she serves, Elizabeth approaches her work with a collaborative and relationship-centered attentiveness, taking time to understand what motivates donors and align their passions with the College’s most pressing needs. She will work to grow unrestricted giving, strengthen scholarship support, and cultivate transformative legacy commitments through NECO’s Foster Namias Legacy Giving Society. “My goal is to help transform this institution with inspirational philanthropic growth,” she said. “I am powered by the belief that visionary philanthropy can build community and create extraordinary possibilities at NECO—possibilities that will quite literally help change the way people see the world.”

At the center of Elizabeth’s work will be a commitment to deepening alumni relationships and developing strong alumni leadership that reflects the strength and breadth of NECO’s unique culture. Elizabeth will work to create more meaningful ways for alumni to stay engaged and invested in the College’s future. That means expanding outreach, growing alumni philanthropic participation, and ensuring that every interaction with NECO feels personal, purposeful, and valued.

Elizabeth wants to hear from you! From new graduates to seasoned practitioners, every member of our alumni family plays a vital role in NECO’s transformation.
