What inspired you to pursue optometry?
I spent a few years of my undergrad working in an AMD research lab and wanted a profession to combine my love for working with people and with eyes. What better profession than Optometry for that?

Why did you choose NECO?
NECO’s extremely hands-on curriculum was the right way for me to learn and what a great decision that was. Boston is also such a great city for education and healthcare as well!

What was a memorable moment from your time at NECO?
Taking a field trip with 120 of my classmates to Optometry’s Meeting in Washington, DC in my first year.

Who at NECO had the biggest impact on your journey?
Dr. Bina Patel has been such a great mentor and teacher for me in all my years at NECO.

In three words, how would you describe your NECO experience?
Transformative, rewarding, and challenging.

Favorite study spot?
The Tatte on Boylston St. is where all my best work is done.
