NECO proudly hosted its annual residency conference on Friday, June 13. We celebrated the accomplishments of more than 40 graduating residents who successfully completed their advanced training programs. Held at our Beacon Street campus, the event marked the culmination of a year of rigorous clinical education, research, and professional growth.
Throughout the day, residents presented their capstone research projects to an audience of faculty, preceptors, alumni, and peers. Topics ranged from advances in ocular disease management and innovative approaches to low vision care, to public health interventions, and cutting-edge technologies in optometric practice. The diversity and depth of research reflected both the residents’ academic dedication and NECO’s commitment to advancing evidence-based eye care.
The residency conference served as both a scholarly forum and a celebration of achievement, bringing together the NECO community to honor the graduates’ hard work and dedication to patient care. As they embark on the next chapter of their careers, these newly minted residency alumni will carry forward NECO’s mission of clinical excellence, compassion, and service.
NECO’s residency programs—offered in partnership with hospitals, VA medical centers, and private practices across the country—provide graduates with intensive experience in specialty areas such as ocular disease, pediatric optometry, vision rehabilitation, and community health.
Thank you to our corporate sponsors—Alcon and Johnson & Johnson—for partnering with NECO this year to make the conference a success.
